Comfort In the Battle!!!

The New Testament starts with one of man’s most prolific examples of narcissism. King Herod heard that wise men inquired of the Christ who was born in Bethlehem.

Herod was unaware of what was written in the Holy Scriptures. And after being told, sent for the three wise men. Under the guise of wanting to worship Jesus.

This man was so insecure. But not only that. He was just that. A man. Needing to be worshipped. Coddled. Full of egotism. Who killed every child under the age of two years old.

“Then what had been spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled:

‘A VOICE WAS HEARD IN RAMAH, WEEPING AND GREAT MOURNING, RACHEL WEEPING FOR HER CHILDREN; SHE REFUSED TO BE COMFORTED, BECAUSE THEY WERE NO MORE.'”(Matthew 2: 17-18, AMP).

And afterward, though it is not mentioned how. He still died.

The Arrogance of Man

Egomaniacs are so deceived that they are blinded to the fact that they are but flesh. The need to be exalted is so strong that from the smallest to the greatest, they must be worshipped by someone. Even if it is out of fear.

Some may be offended by my stance on accountability. But it is to save even one soul.

One of John the Baptist’s first warnings is the unbeliever’s fate. While admonishing God’s chosen not to think that their lineage will save them from damnation.

“Repent [change your inner self- your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life], for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 3: 2, AMP).

Only God Can Save

People will say, “The ancestors will save us”! This is how Jesus answered them through John. While answering the religious leaders.

“But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, ‘You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the [divine] wrath and judgment to come?'”(Matthew 3: 7, AMP). Because they were unrepentant, John knew that whether intentional or to deceive, their presence was not of God.

“And do not presume to say to yourselves [as a defense], ‘We have Abraham for our father [so our inheritance assures us salvation]’; for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children (descendants) for Abraham” (Matthew 3: 9, AMP). No one’s genealogy makes them exempt from God’s judgment. So even if His chosen tribe is not exempt. How can anyone else be?

God is a Spirit. And those who worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth! Many do not understand this. So let me clarify this for those who avoid truism and accountability.

Truth is the Foundation for Worshipping God

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” (John 8: 44, KJV). A liar and a murderer are the same.

People are murdered in this country every day. The executioners will then blatantly lie about the incidents. Thus, sealing their fates. It is a deceiving spirit. That is never of God.

“But evil men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3: 13, AMP). Did you get that? If not let me confirm this.

“And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or consider Him worth knowing [as their Creator], God gave them over to a depraved (reprobate) mind, to do things which are improper and repulsive, until they were filled (permeated, saturated) with every kind of unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice and mean-spiritedness.

Misery Loves Company

“They are gossips [spreading rumors], slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors [of new forms] of evil, disobedient and disrespectful to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful [without pity].

“Although they know God’s righteous decree and His judgment, that those who do such things deserve death, yet they not only do them but they even [enthusiastically] approve and tolerate others who practice them” (Romans 1: 28-32, AMP).

I need you to meditate on this. Because we all have been guilty of many of these things. And still are.

These spirits are relentless. I empathize with these next scriptures as I interact with evil psyches every day. Fully aware of how grievous spiritual warfare can be.

“And if He rescued Lot, who was tormented by the immoral conduct of unprincipled and ungodly men (for that just man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by what he saw and heard of their lawless acts), (2 Peter 2: 7-8, AMP).

God gave me four comforting scriptures to pass unto you. Whether you suffer in the workplace. In an ungodly soul tie, or with frenemies. No matter the situation.

Be Still and Know That He is God

1) “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8: 31, KJV).

2) “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and again an overwhelming victory through Him who loves us [so much that He died for us]” (Romans 8: 37, AMP).

3) “And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you” (2 Chronicles 20: 15, 17, KJV). Note the double emphasis on neither being frightened or nervous.

4) And finally, “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6, KJV).
