Know the Power of the Holy Spirit
Please recognize that we are spiritual beings. As I am reading in the book of Mark this passage stood out.
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and all abusive and blasphemous things they say; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit and His power [by attributing the miracles done by Me to Satan] never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an everlasting sin [a sin which is unforgivable in the present age as well as in the age to come]” (Mark 3: 28-29, AMP).
Did you get that? The Holy Spirit is tenderhearted. Yet His power is infinite.
It was suddenly revealed to me that Jesus was able to heal and perform miracles while having authority over all spirits. Clean and unclean. Through the power of the Holy Spirit. At least while He walked on earth as a man.
Jesus was not a hypocrite. This is why it is written, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do” (John, 14: 12 KJV).
You Believe in God Then Believe in The Devil
Principalities and spiritual wickedness is real. We are spirit beings trapped in a body until we die a physical death. Or are released by the ultimate Creator.
People are powerless in this fight because they refuse to accept the relevance of the spirit world. Satan facilitates this with an agenda that you are mentally incompetent or incapacitated if you believe in “ghosts”. But the Holy Ghost is chief overall.
When you have discernment, you will notice how certain innate spirits are common in people and regions. The curses, behaviors, attitudes, and bonds are similar.
People don’t understand this concept. We confess all the time out of our mouths, “Same mess, different day!”
Sometimes it is Okay Not to Be Accepted
In places of employment, schools, and most organizations, there are “clicks”. Understand that these are spirits.
This is why we are warned, “Do not turn to mediums [who pretend to consult the dead] or to spiritists [who have spirits of divination]; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God” (AMP).
As written in the KJV, this same scripture says, “Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God” (Leviticus 19: 31).
We are told not to pay attention to, have a high opinion or respect for, or to even look at, seek out, or consider these individuals. They are familiar because the same spirit is usually at work in a group of people.
The Power of The Spirit
Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit while on earth in the form of man. He truly was under the wings of the Holy Ghost.
Listen to this. “Then Jesus was led by the [Holy] Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil” (Matthew 4: 1, AMP).
If you are discerning this you will see why blasphemy is unforgivable. You are cursing God himself. Confirmed by Jesus. “Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit” (Mark 3: 30, KJV).
But our own faith and an intimate relationship with Jesus is key. This is how the amplified version reads in Luke 17: 6. “And the Lord said, ‘If you have [confident, abiding] faith in God [even as small] as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree [which has very strong roots], ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea’; and [if the request was in agreement with the will of God] it would have obeyed you'”.
I recently wrote about how the Bible says that many won’t know or understand until it is too late. Using Noah as a prime example.
Many are looking to psychics, false prophets, fortune tellers, and the occult. Seeking what is temporal.
We Know Nothing Apart from God
“Therefore it will be night (tragedy) for you -without vision, and darkness (cataclysm) for you -without foresight. The sun shall go down on the [false] prophets, and the day shall become dark and black over them. The seers shall be ashamed and the diviners discredited and embarrassed; Indeed, they shall cover their mouths [in shame] (Now pay attention!!!) because there is no answer from God” (Micah 3: 6-7, AMP). These beings will deceive you until the end when they don’t even know anything apart from God.
How can we fight what we don’t see or understand? Meditate on this.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against (Again, pay attention!!!) the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places” (Ephesians 6: 12, AMP).
His Thoughts Are Not Our Thoughts
Know that the devil and his demons can never know the mind of God. “The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it]” (John 1: 5, AMP).
And again, “But if your eye is bad [spiritually blind], your whole body will be full of darkness [devoid of God’s precepts]. So if the [very] light inside you [your inner self, your heart, your conscience] is darkness, how great and terrible is that darkness!” (Matthew 6: 23, AMP).
We must understand that we are in a battle for our very souls. The gods that many serve are demonic. The devil is diabolical.
Remember when the disciples asked Jesus why they could not cast out the demon in the boy. He gave them a warning, “[But this kind of demon does not go out except by prayer and fasting]” Matthew 17: 21, AMP). While letting them know in verse 20, that it was because of their unbelief.
Choose Whom You Will Serve
Remember this warning from Joshua. As he references the flood and the days of Noah. “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24: 15, KJV).
Joshua was letting us know that there is no escaping the evil among us. So, we must be able to recognize it. And stand firm. A house divided against itself cannot stand.
Going back to the power of the Holy Spirit. It was imparted unto me that Jesus had to believe and have faith when He walked on this earth. Because not only was He laying His life down for us. But from His earthly birth He fully became as a man in every sense of the word. Reinforcing what I said earlier. Having to trust fully in God the Father, the power of the Holy Spirit, and Himself. As He performed miracles, healings, and while casting out demons.
As spoke of by John, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14, KJV).
Always coming from a place of love and truth!!!
