We Are Hurting

As the events of the last few days unfold. We must realize that we are hurting.

Hearts are becoming cold and callous. We are unable to find our way. We’ve tried everything and everyone and it isn’t working.

Our spirits are crying out for the LORD. There is so much death and agony. Anger and despair.

We need You today, LORD. Our hearts are breaking. We can’t do this without You.

Yet we forget. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places (Ephesians 6: 12, AMP).

Find Comfort in This

It is written, “The righteous man perishes [at the hand of evil], and no one takes it to heart; faithful and devout men are taken away, while no one understands that the righteous person is taken away [to be spared] from disaster and evil. He enters into peace [through death]; they rest in their beds (graves), each one who walked uprightly [following God’s will, living with integrity] (Isaiah 57: 1-2, AMP).

Remember that Jesus is preparing a place for us. “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] life; no one comes to the Father but through Me'”(Matthew 14: 6, AMP).

He promises, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any men pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my father are one” (John 10: 27-30, AMP).

The Blessings of the LORD

The Spirit guided me to His first sermon on the mount. Particularly these two verses. “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted” and Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God” (Matthew 5: 4, 9, AMP).

“Man’s steps are ordered and ordained by the LORD. How then can a man [fully] understand his way?” (Proverbs 20: 24, AMP).

Please remember that everyone is not of God. Some are not equipped to cast out the evil within. It is written, “He replied to them, ‘This kind [of unclean spirit] cannot come out by anything but prayer and fasting [to the Father] (Mark 9: 29).

You cannot save everyone. Many times, it is detrimental to even try.

Choose Life or Death

Let us make a commitment to try the “only” way. God has made it clear. “I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today, that I have sat before you life and death, the blessing and a curse; therefore, you shall choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice and by holding closely to Him; for He is your life [your good life, your abundant life, your fulfillment] and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the Lord promised (swore) to give to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob” (Deuteronomy 30: 19-20, AMP).

Time is running short. So, take heed. “If it is unacceptable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live; but as for me and my house we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24: 15, AMP).

His Grace is Sufficient

Because of His grace and mercy, He continues to call. It is written, “Although the LORD has persistently sent to you all His servants the prophets, you have not listened nor [even] inclined your ear to hear [His message],” (Jeremiah 25: 4, AMP).

It gets no truer than this. “He who made the ear, does He not hear? He who formed the eye, does He not see?” (Psalm 94: 9, AMP).

The Spirit is beckoning. “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3: 20, AMP).
