Never Despise New Beginnings!!!

When I say this, I mean never forsake God’s mercy when He gives you an opportunity to start over. Chapter 19 in the Book of Numbers is relatively short. As I was praying for discernment, I couldn’t help but question why it was written and what it meant for the children of Israel.

God is merciful and forgiving. And prior to this time Israel was experiencing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of family members and friends. Because Death himself is a living entity, there are commandments that needed to be followed to invoke spiritual healing. When done in obedience and of a pure heart they will manifest into a holistic healing of the mind, body, and soul.

It is why it is written as a prayer taught by Jesus to guide us. “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6: 9-11, KJV).

Many blessings are forfeited when we refuse to let go of the past. The curses and hindrances in our lives that keep us stagnant. Knowing that we will be judged for this because it is never of God when we choose to do so.

We Must Fight to Continue in Obedience

The Word of God gives us His supernatural guidance on how we should pray for a reason. It is backed up by these words when used correctly. Now pay attention!

“(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled” (2 Corinthians 10: 4-6, KJV).

How powerful is that? Many leave out that last verse but obedience is a catalyst for God’s favor and mercy in our lives. Do you understand? See how when His Word is taken out of context, not given wholly but in part, how damaging this can be? How it allows Satan to creep in and deceive you because you have left him an opening.

There is a commandment in the Old Testament that is confirmed in the New Testament. It is there for a reason. A direct warning. “Ye shall not add unto the Word which I command you, neither shall you diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you” (Deuteronomy 4: 2, KJV).

Many Wrest the Scriptures to Their Own Destruction

And again, “I testify and warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book [its predictions, consolations, and admonitions]; if anyone adds [anything] to them, God will add to him the plagues (afflictions, calamities) which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from or distorts the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away [from that one] his share from the tree of life and from the holy city (new Jerusalem), which are written in this book” (Revelation 22: 18-19, AMP).

Israel was being plagued with death and God is giving them the opportunity to wipe their slates clean and start over. The breaking of the spiritual bonds of Death. Even in the midst of losing three of their top leaders.

“Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron saying, This is the statute of the law which the LORD has commanded: ‘Tell the Israelites to bring you an unblemished red heifer in which there is no defect and in which a yoke has never been placed’” (Numbers 19: 1-2, AMP). (Please pay attention to the significant description of the animal. It was to be perfect. Never privy to being bound.)

Sanctify and Purify Yourselves in The Eyes of God

“‘And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face: and Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times: and one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn: and the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer” (Numbers 19: 3-6, KJV).

Now hyssop is said to embody purification, protection, and spiritual renewing. A commenter wrote that “Cedar transcends its role as wood, becoming a symbol of steadfast faith and resilience” (Vail, M., “Cedar Tree Symbolism Bible Teachings: Cedars Profound Legacy in Biblical Writings”, at Cedar-sense.com.) Described further as representing the transformation from defiled to divine. A spiritual cleansing. Scarlet represents royalty. It is a “permanent” dye. An emblem of blood, particularly of the blood of Christ along with His ability to atone for our sins through true repentance.

Death is The Enemy That Defiles

“Now a man who is [ceremonially] clean shall collect the ashes of the heifer and deposit them outside the camp in a clean place, and the congregation of the Israelites shall keep it for water to remove impurity; it is [to be used for] purification from sin. The one who touches the dead body of any person shall be unclean for seven days.

“That one shall purify himself from the uncleanness with the water [made with the ashes of the burned heifer] on the third day and on the seventh day, and then he will be clean; but if he does not purify himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not be clean.

“Whoever touches a corpse, the body of anyone who has died, and does not purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of the LORD; and that person shall be cut off from Israel [that is, excluded from the atonement made for them]. Because the water for impurity was not sprinkled on him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is still on him” (Numbers 19: 9, 11-13, AMP).

Again, God is a Spirit. There is a supernatural realm that surrounds us. We were given commands to not only cleanse and purify our souls, but to protect us from the crushing weight of the spiritual power around us. How can a holy LORD accept what is unclean? These next scriptures show how spiritual beings permeate the atmosphere. You cannot hide from them and there is no escape.

The Fear of The LORD is The Beginning of Wisdom

But before I confirm it here is a warning. The natural disasters that have been happening should be speaking to everyone. People felt assured in one place because it was not as bad as they said it would be. I felt a knowing that the Holy Spirit is showing His unpredictability. He will never be controlled by man. When the roofs were torn off of places, exposing that we cannot hide ourselves from His judgment. And for those who died, death is permeating the land and our very beings. Inescapable. Yet people are still defiant. Still mocking. Refusing to believe that this is of God. Still boasting. Still proud. Full of contempt. Utter fools.

“This is the law when a man dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent and everyone who is in the tent shall be [ceremonially] unclean for seven days. ‘Every open container [in the tent], which has no covering tied down on it, is unclean. Also, anyone in the open field who touches one who has been killed with a sword or who has died [of natural causes], or a human bone or a grave, shall be unclean for seven days” (Numbers 19: 14-16, AMP).

Do not disregard the warning, saying, it is only for seven days. If we are not refined or made pure by the Word, we remain defiled. “But the man who is unclean and does not purify himself, that person shall be cut off from among the assembly, because he defiled the sanctuary of the LORD. The water for purification has not been sprinkled on him; he is unclean” (Numbers 19: 20, AMP).

God Will Not Be Mocked

So, meditate on these as I close:

1) “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10: 28, KJV).

2) “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this is judgment:” (Hebrews 9: 27, KJV).

3) “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it” (Ecclesiastes 12: 7, KJV).

4) Listen closely, “But as for the cowards and unbelieving and abominable [who are devoid of character and personal integrity and practice or tolerate immorality], and murderers, and sorcerers [with intoxicating drugs], and idolaters and occultists [who practice and teach false religions], and all the liars [who knowingly deceive and twist the truth] (as many do today), their part will be in the lake that blazes with fire and brimstone, which is the second death” (Revelation 21: 8, AMP).

There is No Straddling the Fence

And 5) When you are not in right standing with Yah, you are counted as His adversary. “But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then those who are Christ’s [own will be resurrected with incorruptible, immortal bodies] at His coming. After that comes the end (completion), when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father, after He has made inoperative and abolished every ruler and every authority and power. For Christ must reign [as King] until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be abolished and put to an end (destroyed) is death” (1 Corinthians 15: 23-26, AMP).

This is why it is written, “Therefore rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them [in the presence of God]. Woe to the [inhabiters of the] earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you in great wrath, knowing that he only has a short time [remaining]!” (Revelation 12: 12, AMP).
