Stay Focused! The Deceit of Coveting!

The Holy Spirit has been on me with this for a minute. The world calls it being mindful. I say, “Stay focused”! The impartation that I am receiving is that there is neither peace nor joy outside of the presence of Jesus. As I continue to read in the book of Luke let me make clear the importance of men in the eyes of God. Even His love for all creation.

“Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? Yet not one of them has [ever] been forgotten in the presence of God. Indeed the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid; you are far more valuable than many sparrows” (Luke 12: 6-7, AMP).

This still plagues me. But I am more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus.

Know the Wiles of the Devil

It is a wandering mind. A tactic of the enemy used to rob us of tranquility.

“And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say” (Luke 12: 11, KJV).

Keeping us distracted is a stratagem. This has become clearly evident to me. The supernatural anointing and favor of the Holy Spirit wants to guide us in all things.

But if your soul is muddy. You can’t find Him. You won’t hear Him. You don’t even look for Him.

The Spirit of Truth

As you commune with Jesus, in the word of the Lord and intimacy, you cannot be overtaken. “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatever He shall hear, that shall He speak: (Now pay attention!) and He will show you things to come” (John 16: 13, KJV).

Can I tell you something? If I don’t spend time with the Lord, I am not a nice person. I have to remain consistent in my time with Him. If not, the toxic mindset will overtake me.

One of the most diabolical sins is covetousness. This is why “Thou shalt not covet” is a foundational commandment from God.

Now I am going to give you two biblical examples:

Thou Shalt Not Covet

1) “And he said unto him, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. And He spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

“And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and goods.

“And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?” (Luke 12: 15-20, KJV). (Remember, I told you that it is a hurtful thing when God calls you a fool!)

The Importance of Godly Relationships

Now before I go on to number two, I feel led to point out that this man has to be single because there is no mention of family or children. The Holy Spirit is warning us of this overwhelming trend of men and women that are forsaking Godly relationships. Focused on self. Ultimately refusing self-improvement and accountability.

2) “So it is for the one who continues to store up and hoard possessions for himself, and is not rich [in his relationship] toward God. Jesus said to His disciples, “For this reason I tell you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; or about your body, as to what you will wear. For life is more than food and the body more than clothes” (Luke 12: 21-23, AMP).

Let Your Requests Be Made Known

Afterward, the Lord uses the birds as an example of how as we remain focused on Him, He will provide those things that are needful.
Meditate on this. “Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.

“And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]” (Philippians 4: 6-7, AMP).

I say all that to say that as a nurse I see many patients who are gravely ill. And they don’t attempt to get their spiritual houses in order.
They walk through life deceived and cumbersome of things that don’t even matter. Refusing care and compliance.

So focused on controlling and manipulating those around them. Or victims of family and friends who use witchcraft to dominate and enforce their will in the lives of the patients and others.

What is Important to You?

These pull your strings wanting to be the puppeteers. Clueless that their very lives are being destroyed.

When you are given discernment, you can look at people and see the sickness and illnesses that we carry around. How frail we truly are. But many don’t even fathom the importance of repentance.

The supernatural anointing and favor of God wants to rest upon our lives. But for us to do this, we must give Him complete control.

Earlier I admitted that my sinful nature is lying dormant just waiting to overtake me. But the Spirit is near and now more so than ever He warns me when I am being led by my flesh.

The Flesh is Contrary to The Spirit

“The mind of the flesh [with its sinful pursuits] is actively hostile to God. It does not submit itself to God’s law, since it cannot, and those who are in the flesh [living a life that caters to sinful appetites and impulses] cannot please God” (Romans 8: 6-8, AMP).

Picture 07 - Romans 8:7 KJV - Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: - Bible Verse Picture

And again, “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit” (Romans 8: 5, KJV). This is why John said, “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3: 30, KJV).
Always coming from a place of love and in truth!!!

Addendum: As I listen to “The Master’s Voice Prophecy Blog, I am reminded that I may be discerning other things altogether at the same time. I look at people today and, in my heart, I say that people don’t look the way they used to look. I also have commented on how people seem to be morphing and taking on unusual shapes. God’s astuteness is real. Prayerfully, in these days we must trust Him more than ever before.
