The Expectation is Higher Than We Think!!!

As we enter into chapter 33, the Book of Numbers details the journeys of the children of Israel. With a deeper understanding of the LORD’s meticulousness and His expectations. It is something that He wants to make clear to His people and anyone drawn to read, watch, and/or listen to this.

I have read this chapter over a few days without knowing what the premise would be. This morning, I prayed for guidance and received an immediate answer from the Holy Spirit.

It is a confirmation of what was recently spoken of through His prophet Celestial of “The Masters Voice Prophecy Blog”. “The bar is set very high”. Let me put my personal opinion here. Having expressed before how that in this time people are very quick to disrespect the office of the prophet.

I often think of how fearful it is to see and hear the things that His prophets have seen and heard. The darkness that the LORD reveals to them. I love the LORD with all my heart, mind, body, and soul. Knowing for a fact that I could not handle seeing the gravity of the prophecies that are shown to her. But I believe them, and I don’t doubt a single word.

Wickedness Knows No Bounds

Before the LORD brought her across my timeline, I would say that no level of wickedness is beyond man. That I could never be shocked by his depravity. But through His prophet, even I, am astonished at the evil, vile, iniquity in the hearts of men. Along with the level of mercy that is displayed by my Heavenly Father. His entire Word is meticulously written and yet many still have a blatant disregard for how our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ can be approached.

“These are the stages of the journeys of the Israelites, by which they came out of the land of Egypt by their [tribal] armies, under the leadership of Moses and Aaron. Moses recorded their points of departure, as the LORD commanded, stage by stage; and these are their journeys according to their points of departure: They set out from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day after the Passover the Israelites moved out triumphantly in the sight of all the Egyptians, while the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn whom the LORD had struck down among them. Upon their gods the LORD also executed judgments” (Numbers 33: 1-4, AMP).

God is Meticulous in All That He Does

Let me point out what is being revealed to me by the Spirit. When the LORD takes His chosen out of here to reclaim our rightful inheritance, it will be under similar circumstances. Amid trials and tribulations that will fall upon His enemies, He will bring us out with a mighty hand.

As this time is being given to Satan and his fallen angels, please remember that they have already been judged. Let us remain focused. “For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled” (Luke 21: 34, KJV).

Chapter 33 painstakingly documents everywhere they traveled up to their entrance into the land of Canaan, with key events accurately noted, including their passing through the midst of the Red Sea. Their encampment in the Wilderness of Sin. Journeying unto Rephidim where there was no water to drink. And further ahead into the Wilderness of Sinai, where they stayed for about a year. Then at Rithmah where the twelve were sent to spy out the land of Canaan.

The LORD is Painstakingly Fastidious

As Aaron the priest went up to Mount Hor to die in the fortieth year after the Israelites came out of the land of Egypt. Finally, “They moved out from the mountains of Abarim and camped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho [their last stop on the journey to Canaan]” (Numbers 33: 48, AMP). The entire chapter should be read as I am attempting not to deviate from where the Spirit is leading me.
Because God’s Word is living and active, more powerful than a two-edged sword, you can gain new revelation from the same scriptures that you meditate on more than once. As this chapter can also be seen as a new beginning. But I am giving you the utterance given to me at this time.

These are given to me by God to reinforce the standard that He has set. He is never mundane or redundant as we consider it in the flesh but is diligent. Being fastidiously methodical.

1) “In the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, ‘Take a scroll [of parchment] and write on it all the words which I have spoken to you concerning Israel and Judah, and all the nations, from the day I [first] spoke to you in the days of [King] Josiah until this day. It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the disaster which I plan to bring on them, so that each one will turn from his evil way, that I may forgive their wickedness and their sin’.

His Word Will Not Return unto Him Void

“Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah, and Baruch wrote on the scroll of the book all the words which Jeremiah dictated, [words] which the LORD had spoken to him” (Jeremiah 36: 1-4, AMP).

While I was in college an instructor had everyone to write a three-page essay. He or she then passed them out randomly and asked us to read and critique the paperwork that we received. It was a real eye opener! Think of the many words that a Certified Stenographer has to transcribe for the court. Particularly upon request for trial transcripts. A request that I also made in the past that was hundreds of pages long. This must be done with precise accuracy and is very tedious. Try it in a small, recorded conversation or interview with two people to understand the magnitude of this commission.

“So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe’s chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king. Now the king sat in the winter house in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him. And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth. Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all his words” (Jeremiah 36: 21-24, KJV).

Vexation is Coming for The Immoral Man

They did not fear God, nor did they repent. And the LORD commanded that Jeremiah and Baruch go through the entire process again. Adding a more severe judgment to the king.

What the LORD is saying is that many will abuse His servants, the prophets, thinking that their actions and empty words will keep His judgments from coming to pass. Only to bring even more severe and permanent punishments on the leaders and others. When even His mercy is ignored during His retribution.

“Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned. And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast? Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.

Accountability Lies Within Oneself

“And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not. Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words” (Jeremiah 36: 28-32, KJV). Even more cruel and unusual punishment with extreme and severe penalties.

I watched an episode of a documentary about a young man whose friends convinced him to go to a party. He did not feel right about the situation and felt that he should not go. His friend admitted that he used “peer pressure” to persuade him. This young man was even told by his mother that he should go and enjoy himself. He was kicked, stomped, and beaten to death. Although many witnesses testified that he did nothing to provoke the incident. He is not responsible for the heinous egregious acts of others. God is always just!

Even as I blamed his friends for encouraging him to go the Holy Spirit spoke to me: “This young man clearly heard the warning, but he chose to obey man rather than God”. The others are tortured by reliving their parts in this tragedy even now. However, accountability will always lie with each individual. To add emphasis, he was just eighteen years old. Meditate on this with what the Holy Spirit gave to me next.

Stand Having Your Loins Girded

2) Just remember that Satan is relentless. And to gain more clarity you must read 1 Kings chapter thirteen.

“Now there dwelt an old prophet in Beth-el; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Beth-el: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father. And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.

“And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon, and went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am. Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread. And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place: For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way thou camest” (1 Kings 13: 11-17, KJV).

He was given a commandment from God, as it is confirmed here: “Let your eyes look directly ahead [toward the path of moral courage] and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you [toward the path of integrity]. Consider well and watch carefully the path of your feet, and all your ways will be steadfast and sure. Do not turn away to the right nor to the left [where evil may lurk]; turn your foot from [the path of] evil” (Proverbs 4: 25-27, AMP).

Choose This Day Whom You Will Serve

Do you understand? To turn back to a place that God has delivered you from, to leave the path of righteousness is to walk into evil. No matter the source or object. Even something as simple as returning to a former relationship or job or neighborhood. Up to the more flagrant sins that you have been delivered from, including the aforementioned idolatries and sexual immorality. Spanning the gamut of all offenses against God. You lack faith and become as an unbeliever. An enemy of God. His protection can be removed. “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him” (Hebrews 10: 38, KJV).

“He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him. So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.

(Take note that the old man is referred to as “the prophet” and the young man as “the man of God”. Speaking volumes that not every person that professes to be a prophet is from God. And even in the young man’s moment of disobedience, he is confirmed to be commissioned by God. Yet he is punished harshly for his lack of insight and avolition, as evidenced by him being found sitting under a tree.)

We Must Obey God Rather Than Men

“And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the LORD came unto the prophet that brought him back: And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee, but camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.

“And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back. And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase” (1 Kings 13: 18-24, KJV).

The lion and the donkey stood still as a testament to God’s Word, majesty, and authority over all creation. “And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which He spake unto him” (1 Kings 13: 26, KJV).

Do Not Wrest the Scriptures to Your Own Destruction

3) Please understand the gravity of what Ezekiel was told to do. Many attempt to diminish this and say that it shouldn’t be taken literally. But it should. God is clear in His commandments. Please read chapter four in its entirety.

“Now you, son of man, take a brick, place it before you and inscribe on it a [diagram of] the city of Jerusalem. Then lay siege against it, build a siege wall, raise a ramp against it; set up [enemy] camps and place battering rams all around it. Further, take an iron plate and place it as an iron wall between you and the city, and set your face toward it so that it is under siege, and besiege it. This is a sign to the house of Israel.

“Then lie down on your left side (toward the north) to bear [symbolically] the wickedness and punishment of the house of Israel. You shall bear their wickedness and punishment for the number of days that you lie on your side. For I have assigned you the years of their wickedness and punishment, according to the number of days, three hundred and ninety days [representing three hundred and ninety years]; in this way you shall bear [symbolically] the wickedness and punishment of the house of Israel.

“When you have completed these [days for Israel], lie down again, but on your right side (toward the south), and you shall bear the wickedness and punishment of the house of Judah forty days. I have assigned you one day for each year. Then you shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem with your arm bared and prophecy against it. (Pay attention!) Now behold, I will put ropes on you so that you cannot turn from one side to the other until you have completed these days of your siege” (Ezekiel 4: 1-8, AMP).

He Will Never Leave or Forsake His Chosen

From the perspective of a healthcare professional, I will tell you why many don’t believe that this was done. For anyone with decreased mobility, skin on pressure points can start to break down in only a few hours. Many become contracted, which is a condition of shortening and hardening of the muscles, tendons, and other tissues. Leading to permanent rigidity and deformities. But it is the LORD Himself who said He would put the bands on him so that Ezekiel could not move. Understand that in all this the LORD was telling him that He would be right there with him, with no plans of leaving him. This is why it was possible for Ezekiel.

I will give you two more truths in the Word of the LORD as to why we must be holy and humble with awe-filled reverence and respect for our God. And in how we approach him at any second of any day.

4) “And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which He commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace” (Leviticus 10: 1-3, KJV).

Aaron’s sons were killed before the LORD. And Aaron was not allowed to grieve or mourn their deaths in any way. Not only would he have died, but as the high priest, the whole congregation would have been subject to the LORD’s wrath. But in His mercy, He allowed Aaron’s relatives and the whole house of Israel to mourn for his sons. You see, Aaron knew why they were killed. He had also been warned. Because of his relationship and close proximity to God through Moses, he was held to a higher standard in God.

Sin As it Is Conceived Brings Forth Death

And 5) “When they came to Nacon’s threshing floor, Uzzah reached out [with his hand] to the ark of God and took hold of it, because the oxen [stumbled and] nearly overturned it. And the anger of the LORD burned against Uzzah, and God struck him for his irreverence; and he died there by the ark of God. David became angry and grieved and was offended because of the LORD’s outburst against Uzzah, and that place has been called Perez-Uzzah (outburst against Uzzah) to this day.

“So David was afraid of the LORD that day; and he said, ‘How can the ark of the LORD come to me?’ David was unwilling to move the ark of the LORD into the city of David with him; instead he took it aside to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. So the ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite for three months, and the LORD blessed Obed-edom and all his household (family)” (2 Samuel 6: 6-11, AMP).

Let me add that David didn’t give up! He had to reevaluate how he was doing things. He knew that he could not do whatever he wanted, any way that he wanted to, when it came to a holy God. The lives of the Israelites were at stake. It was his responsibility to fear and honor the LORD in strict obedience according to His laws and statutes that He has already set forth.
