The Sanctification of the Spirit!!!

Before I begin, I want you to understand that we are set apart. In every situation, the Holy Ghost’s power should manifest in and through our lives.

When truly led by the Spirit, the supernatural realm will continue to manifest itself. We aren’t all called to be famous or rich. But we should be able to see His glory revealed in our lives.

“According to the foreknowledge of God the Father by the sanctifying work of the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ and to be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace [that special sense of spiritual well-being] be yours in increasing abundance [as you walk closely with God]” (1 Peter 1: 2, AMP).

Prepare Your Hearts and Minds in His Word

I want to warn you, that as you mature in the Spirit, Jesus will go silent. This is because you may begin to entertain lustful desires in your heart. Even those that He has already delivered you from. You desire to sin and will ask Him is it okay. Feigning in your heart that it is of Him.

He will allow you to make your own decisions. I am admonishing you to be careful. Emotions can overtake us.

Because demonic spirits that held us in bondage in the past are never far from us. Just waiting. With reinforcements.

“And when the devil had ended all temptation, he departed from Him for a season” (Luke 4: 13, KJV). The attacks will not cease and may become increasingly aggressive.

Attacks May Cease, For a Season

“When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

“Then goeth he, and taketh with himself, seven other spirits more wicked than himself, (Are you paying attention?) and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation” (Matthew 12: 43-45, KJV).

These spirits are never at ease. They have been assigned to you. And will not be easily defeated. Note that those who don’t resist and are not prepared are “wicked”. So, stay ready!

This confirms that you cannot fall away and think that you will remain protected. “How much greater punishment do you think he will deserve who has rejected and trampled under foot the Son of God, (Now here it is!) and has considered unclean and common the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and has insulted the Spirit of grace [who imparts the unmerited favor and blessing of God]?” (Hebrews 10: 29, AMP).

A continued zeal and awe-filled reverence of the LORD should be nurtured and cultivated daily. This can only be done through intimacy and spending time with Him. Wholeheartedly meditating on His goodness.

Be Transformed by The Renewing of Your Mind

“Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant and boundless mercy has caused us to be born again [that is, to be reborn from above -spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] to an everliving hope and confident assurance through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1: 3, AMP).

This must be constant. Then His preeminence is magnified in you. As He promised, “If you remain in Me and My words remain in you [that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified and honored by this, when you bear much fruit, and prove yourselves to be My [true] disciples” (John 15: 7-8, AMP).

Not My Will but Yours

The Holy Spirit is leading me to point out why many prayers go unanswered. To be a friend of the world is enmity with God.

“What leads to [the unending] quarrels and conflicts among you? Do they not come from your [hedonistic] desires that wage war in your [bodily] members [fighting for control over you]?

“You are jealous and covet [what others have] and your lust goes unfulfilled; (The Holy Ghost is saying, “your unquenchable lusts”.) so you murder. You are envious and cannot obtain [the object of your envy]; so you fight and battle. You do not have because you do not ask [it of God].

Are You Asking Amiss

“You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires” (James 4: 1-3, AMP).

God is moving. “He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121: 3-4, KJV).

Ponder these in your heart, knowing that it is not about you. But we are made complete when we remain in subjection to the Spirit:

Pray In the Spirit

1) “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God” (Romans 8: 26-27, KJV).

2) “But you, beloved, build yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], pray in the Holy Spirit, and keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously and looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ [which will bring you] to eternal life” (Jude 1: 20-22, AMP).

Pray for Others

3) “With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all God’s people” (Ephesians 6: 18, AMP).

4) “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will]” (Mark 11: 23, AMP). Just believe and it will be done.

And 5) “Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5: 16, KJV). As I have pointed out before, man is singular, in this scripture, for a reason.

Intimacy Dwells in The Secret Place

And remember this because I see it all the time.

a) “But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth” (Matthew 6: 3, KJV).

and b) “And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: (Notice this is present tense!) for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward” (Matthew 6: 5, KJV).

A Dejected Revelation

The fact that we are told that they have their reward is sad. Because the Holy Spirit is imparting to me that they have accomplished nothing for the person or persons that they pray for.
