The Power of the Spirit
Have you ever literally heard someone speak in the Spirit? They are nowhere around you. You have never met them or know anything about them. But you know this because God manifests the action(s) that confirm exactly what you heard.
Albeit this has happened to me many times. But there were two time that were very distinct. Causing me to foolishly stumble into situations that hurt my heart.
Even so, this morning I woke, my first thought was to say that I didn’t want this gift, because the outcomes were producing painful emotions. But the Holy Spirit urged me to pray in a different way.
I noticed that God is turning the heart of stone (that I prayed for) back into my heart of flesh. Affirmed by certain attitudes that I take when someone is being petty. Knowing that the original tender version of my heart is who God made me to be. If I even attempt to reciprocate negative energy my spirit cannot rest. My thought lately: “I am not built like that!”
Consequently, for me, this is okay. Having a tender heart does not make me weak. Jesus wept.
Don’t Grieve the Spirit
Accordingly, I want to share why the LORD revealed to me that He will not allow the Holy Spirit to be grieved. The Spirit is that tender, softhearted part of the triune. “Vulnerable” to hurt. Powerfully meek. It is hard to explain, but if you have ever felt Him, I mean truly felt Him, then you understand.
Nevertheless, I have to learn how to nurture and guard it. To protect my tranquility.
So, my prayer changed. I asked that if it is Your will then allow this gift to manifest on an exceedingly larger scale. In every area of my life. Additionally, give me the discernment to wait to see the whole matter.
Conversely, what I am hearing in the Spirit, what comes out of someone’s mouth, is not necessarily what is in their heart. God may not always reveal the full matter from the start. Like a puzzle, you need Him to guide you to put everything in its proper perspective.
This gift is teaching me that no matter how it looks or sounds, God’s ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. Patience will reveal the intent behind the words.
Always remember this, from “Blade”. Played by Wesley Snipes. This is profound. And I live this. “When you know the nature of a thing, you then know what it is capable of”! Say that again as many times as needed, to get it deep down into your spirit.
It is Good to Love
The revelations are that it is okay to love and that it will sometimes hurt. Moreover, it is how you process these feelings that will be the difference between healing, growth, and revelation, or bitterness, hate, and stagnation. The latter can be the precursor or the result of regression. A vicious circle of cynical thoughts and actions.
Furthermore, there is a need to reflect on the importance of protecting your energy. Because with who I am in God, I see the devil coming for me every day through multiple people. (Hence, my blog/podcast entitled “You See Me!!!”) God is literally purifying and cleansing my heart. My spirit. And in doing so, I know that I am on the verge of regaining that peace and joy that surpasses understanding. I refuse to lose it a second time. So, expect for it to be a process. If you truly desire it.
What is Rarely Understood
What they don’t realize is that God is allowing this to hone your character. Your integrity and your virtue. The supernatural gifts that are in you. But held in abeyance.
And although we are not perfect. God will always reveal the purposes and intents of an individual(s) to His anointed. While continually urging us of what this instability that is being caused in the spirit can produce when we are not cautious. When we don’t wait on the utterances that He wants to give. This authenticates the need to be quick to hear and slow to speak.
Besides, when we grow in the Holy Spirit, our gifts will abound. They are given to us to be used, apart from selfishness and ambition. We are to help those who are drawn to us, in meekness and humility.
This Bears Repeating
The Bible tells of many people of God who left off following Him, preferring to walk in darkness. Every word, decision, and/or action helps to facilitate this.
Even so, if I am being shown how easy it is to fall by the wayside, then others have also been shown. God is not a respector of persons.
None of us are perfect. The Word of the LORD says to be holy for He is holy.
Indeed, my questions to you is, are you perceiving what the Spirit is communicating? Thus, without doing so, will make it impossible to guard your heart.
Addendum
To be holy is to be sanctified, consecrated, and dedicated or to be separated from the world and worldliness. As it is written, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
