Walk in Your Integrity!!!

As we enter chapter 31 in the Book of Numbers, I ask that you read, watch, and/or listen to “The Commandment for Men to Protect!!!”. And to fully understand Jesus’s response to a concession given by Moses concerning marriage. “They say unto Him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so” (Matthew 19: 7-8, KJV).

I want you to take heed because this curse has and continues to plague the children of Israel. Devastating the integrity of the families, while robbing us of wealth as a whole. As these “permissible acts” allow the spirit of Confusion and other spiritual wickedness in high places to wreak havoc upon the true nation of Israel.

Let me say it again. Israel’s lack of complete obedience opened a door to a curse that has become more grievous even today. And those who are deceived by it and intentionally ignorant in this regard, men and women, are not only reaping the consequences, but will also answer for this on the day of judgement.

God’s Judgment Against Evil

“And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people. And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian” (Numbers 31: 1-3, KJV).

I ask that you go back and meditate on chapter 25 of the Book of Numbers. With additional insight from “The Power and Consequences of Evil Influences!!!”. So that you may understand the LORD’s wrath, along with our rebellious and sinful natures.

“Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war. So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war. And Moses sent them to war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazer the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand” (Numbers 31: 4-6, KJV).

The Midianites were being judged. God is not like man. He shows no partiality. Expecting that His commands are fully executed. And here is the warning and the promise that are established.

The Punishment of Partial Obedience

“But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell. Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them” (Numbers 33: 55-56, KJV).

And again, “And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break My covenant with you. And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed My voice: why have you done this? Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you” (Judges 2: 1-3, KJV).

Because the Israelites worshipped false idols and would not separate themselves from the unclean, these “gods”, these evil spirits, will be a bait, enticement, and a trap unto them.

Picture 05 - Judges 2:2 KJV - And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants - Bible Verse Picture

Remove the Wicked One from Among You

“They made war against Midian, just as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed every male. They killed the kings of Midian along with the rest of their slain: Evi and Rekem and Zur [the father of Cozbi] and Hur and Reba, the five kings of Midian; also Balaam the son of Beor they killed with the sword” (Numbers 31: 7-8, KJV).

For those who say, “This is not the God of the New Testament.” Listen! “But actually, I have written to you not to associate with any so-called [Christian] brother if he is sexually immoral (a fornicator) or greedy (or covetous), or is an idolator [devoted to anything (or anyone) that takes the place of God], or is a reviler [who insults or slanders or otherwise verbally abuses others], or is a drunkard or a swindler (an extortionist)—you must not so much as eat with such a person. God alone sits in judgment on those who are outside [the faith]. REMOVE THE WICKED ONE FROM AMONG YOU [expel him from your church]” (1 Corinthians 5: 11, 13, AMP).

Picture 05 - 1 Corinthians 5:11 KJV - But now I have written unto you not to keep - Bible Verse Picture

Sin, when it is Finished, Brings Forth Death

Many who lack common sense will wonder why the judgment of the LORD is so harsh. It is because of man’s callous disregard for others. So let me remind you that it was the Midianite women that led the Israelites into idolatry. They enticed them to eat food sacrificed to their gods and to bow down and worship these evil entities.

Because of the sins of the Israelite men, God commanded that they be killed. Those who were given the order had to kill brothers, sons, fathers, and friends of all the men that committed the whoredom against God. In addition to this, a plague was sent among them and 24,000 died because of their lack of sincere repentance. As evidenced by the egregious sin of the Israelite man that dared to attempt to commit fornication with Cozbi, the daughter of one of the kings of Midian, in front of all the people. Mocking God to His face as the LORD was judging them.

This man’s death was imminent. He and Cozbi were pierced through with the sword in the actual act of their sexual immorality during the plague. As people were dying all around them. And the LORD was avenged of Balaam the false prophet, the son of Beor, who used these women to attempt to destroy the Israelites.

Picture 02 - Numbers 25:1 KJV - And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began - Bible Verse Picture

The Lust of The Eyes Are Not of God

“And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods. And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire. And they took all their spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts. And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazer the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho. And Moses, Eleazer the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without (or outside) the camp” (Numbers 31: 9-13, KJV).

Now it will be shown the hard-heartedness that was spoken of in the New Testament. Confirmed by the fact that God had just given them the command to be protectors of their own wives and daughters. This is the danger of greed, lust, and covetousness. What they were bringing into the camp where their families dwelt. Spirits are not only transferable in people but also in cursed objects. It makes even the “leniency” of Moses justified as he attempted to purge them of their sin and corruption.

The Hard Hearted Expects Compromise

“But Moses was angry with the officers of the army, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, who served in the war. And Moses said to them, ‘Have you let all the women live? Look, these [are the women who] caused the Israelites, by the counsel of Balaam, to trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and so a plague came among the congregation of the LORD.

Now therefore, kill every male among the children, and kill every woman who is not a virgin. But all the young girls who have not known a man intimately, keep alive for yourselves [to marry]. Camp outside the camp for seven days; whoever has killed any person and whoever has touched any dead body, purify yourselves and your captives, on the third day and on the seventh day’” (Numbers 31: 14-19, AMP).

For those who question God’s mercy and grace and how He chooses to stamp out sin, I want you to think about this. The Israelites took these women who watched their husbands, brothers, and fathers be killed, as captives. They burnt their cities, and stole everything of value from them. Then all their sons and the women and girls who were not virgins were murdered.

Picture 04 - Numbers 31:16 KJV - Behold, these caused the children of Israel, - Bible Verse Picture

Fearmongers Are Ambivalent to Love

They were then given in marriage to these same men. Looking into their faces as they relived these horrors daily. Even as they were intimate with them. In every morsel of food that they ate. Seeing their valuables when they were forced to worship a God that they did not care to know. As they watched their captors wearing their items and those of their lost loved ones on their bodies, and whomever they chose to give them too.

How were their wives and daughters supposed to feel about these foreign women being brought into their homes? Did they think that gifts should appease them, as they desire these other women? What type of example is this setting for their own children, including their sons? As these women may have felt rejected, made to feel less than.

To think that these other women could ever truly love them is asinine. But this curse is two-fold, as our people were sent into slavery throughout our history as a people. Whose lands were taken from them, being left with little to nothing. Scattered to the four corners of the earth. As they have and are still being oppressed and subjugated to the same and worse treatment since then.

Purification is a Continual Internal Process

Being presented as “grateful and thankful”, for our forced circumstances. A false narrative that serves to facilitate the lack of self-esteem and growing entitlement of others. This alone should speak volumes to the mindsets and lack of discernment for many, even today. Regardless of race and ethnicity. Because Satan never discriminates in the corruption and death of the soul.

“You shall purify every garment and every article made of leather and all things made of goats’ hair, and every article made of wood. Then Eleazer the priest said to the men of war who had gone to battle, ‘This is the statute of the law which the LORD has commanded Moses: only the gold, the silver, the bronze, the iron, the tin, and the lead, everything that can stand fire, you shall pass through the fire, and it shall be clean. Nevertheless, it shall be purified with the water of purification (of separation) [to remove its impurity]; and all that cannot stand fire [such as fabrics] you shall pass through water. And you shall wash your clothes on the seventh day and be clean, and afterward you may come into the camp” (Numbers 31: 20-24, AMP).

In Eleazer’s mercy and tolerance he reminded them of the statutes on how to cleanse themselves before being allowed to reenter the camp. Permitting a gentle cleansing. So that if fire was too harsh, they should use water. But sanctification is meant to be a “pruning”, continual process.

Picture 07 - Numbers 31:23 KJV - Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall - Bible Verse Picture

Pruning is a Process of Affliction

Here is the definition of pruning as far as it relates to trees, shrubs, or plants, and objects, and people: 1) To trim (a tree, shrubs, or bush) by cutting away dead or overgrown branches or stems, especially to increase fruitfulness and growth. 2) To reduce the extent of (something) by removing superfluous or unwanted parts. And 3) The process of removing dead or dying parts of a person’s life to help them grow spiritually or become more like God.

There was no pain for the Israelite men in this matter because they were not aware of the significance of the agony, affliction, and torture of pruning. They were just made to go through the motions. As they continued to walk in the evil of their deceitful and desperately wicked hearts. Bringing in demonically possessed souls and cursed objects used in satanic rituals.

As we close, their behaviors will be confirmed. So keep this grave warning in mind: “I am the true vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Picture 05 - John 15:2 KJV - Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he - Bible Verse Picture

The LORD is Just and Righteous

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned” (John 15: 1-6, KJV).

Now here is the LORD’s graciousness and generosity. “Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, You and Eleazer the priest and the leaders of the fathers’ households of the congregation are to take a count of the spoil of war that was captured, both people and livestock. Divide the spoil into two [equal] parts between those who were involved in the war, that is, those who went out to battle and all [the rest of] the congregation” (Numbers 31: 25-27, AMP).

Verses 28-47 goes into meticulous detail of how it was to be divided, and the levy of a tribute that should be made unto the LORD, from both sides. That is to be given to the Levites, who are in charge of the tabernacle.

Picture 06 - Numbers 31:27 KJV - And divide the prey into two parts; between them - Bible Verse Picture

Many Do Not Understand the Characteristics of God

These men did not know God’s character. They did not believe that He would fairly acknowledge them for their contributions and achievements. So they hid the precious stones and gold among themselves. Understand that only 12,000 went to war out of the hundreds of thousands that stayed behind. They received 50% and the rest of the entire congregation received the remaining 50%. Then they had an epiphany. Even in their sin, they were allowed to keep their very lives. This was divine intervention! Never forget what happened to Ananias and Sapphira. Nothing is hidden from God.

“And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses: and they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which were under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us. We have therefore brought an oblation for the LORD, what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the LORD. And Moses and Eleazer the priest took the gold of them, even all wrought jewels.

“And all the gold of the offering that they offered up to the LORD, of the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels. (For the men of war had taken spoil, every man for himself.) And Moses and Eleazer the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, for a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD” (Numbers 31: 48-54, KJV).

Faith is Accounted for Righteousness

I want to close with these as we learn to trust God and His faithfulness.

1) “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your Heavenly Father knoweth that you have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6: 31-33, KJV).

2) I told this and the next scriptures to my children frequently while they were growing up. “He that is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much; and he who is dishonest in a very little thing is also dishonest in much” (Luke 16: 10, AMP).

And 3) “Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the LORD and not for men, knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the LORD [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the LORD Christ whom you [actually] serve” (Colossians 3: 23-24, AMP).
