Lactose Intolerance
OK, this is a word the Lord gave me on my ride home. It is such a powerful word that I’m giving it to you
I want to give you the context surrounding this revelation. Because of the recent snowstorm, I spent the whole weekend at work. Literally. I slept and ate and worked while at my place of employment. The LORD spoke the phrase into my spirit, “lactose intolerant”.
The Holy Spirit is speaking. God cannot give the people discernment. He cannot teach them. They cannot tolerate an advanced diet. They can’t even tolerate milk. It is written, “I fed you with milk, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Even now you are still not ready” (1 Corinthians 3: 2, AMP).
This is a testament to why the Pharisees and the Sadducees could not be saved. Along with those who have the same mentality.
Jesus Doesn’t Do Reels
They were looking for Jesus to just come in all His might, and power. Please know that this is a people who are full of themselves. Vain, narcissistic, and arrogant.
If Jesus had their mindset, no one would be here today. If He would have been willing to grant their innermost desires and petitions, we all would perish. These individuals would demand that He destroy any and everyone that is not like them. Who they felt should be debased, through degradation. Dehumanizing and demeaning them. This behaviorism is prevalent today.
It brings me to the point of why the Lord is constantly teaching me to be appreciative of the small things. To be faithful in the small matters. It is written, “He who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much: and he who is dishonest in a very little thing is also dishonest in much” (Luke 16: 10, AMP)”.
God’s Compassion for Us
Thankfully, God is not like us. He is merciful, gracious, and slow to anger. He is a forgiving God. It is written, “Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retaineth not His anger for ever, because He delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea” (Micah 7: 18-19, KJV).
For us to be able to appreciate Him, we have to know exactly how good He is. Recognizing His righteousness. A God of justice that overlooks our fleshly ambitions. The desires that would compel him to kill everyone that is not accepted, unwanted, and undesired. According to a select group of people.
This hate is visible. When you walk with God those demonic spirits are openly cringing. With loathing and detestation burning in their eyes. Their envy, jealousy, and hatred are not concealed.
The Windows to The Soul
This is why I look people directly in their eyes, even if just for a moment, so that I may proceed accordingly. Know this, “The eye is the lamp of the body; so if your eye is clear [spiritually perceptive], your whole body will be full of light [benefiting from God’s precepts]. But if your eye is bad [spiritually blind], your whole body will be full of darkness [devoid of God’s precepts]. So if the [very] light inside you [your inner self, your heart, your conscience] is darkness, how great and terrible is that darkness!” (Matthew 6: 22-23, AMP).
When I give a testimony. Telling others about how the Lord speaks to me and how I am growing in obedience. Some look at me incredulously. As if they are thinking, “How dare she think that God speaks to her”? Even those of other races. But what is sad is that a lot of them will never know that deep level of intimacy that I have in Him.
No matter the race, many will never experience this. Unable to tolerate solid food because in their finite minds they will always question His deity. “If God is who He says He is then He needs to do this. Or He needs to do that”. What they don’t understand is that He can do whatever it is that you ask. But you may be destroyed in the process.
Thanksgiving is a Prerequisite for Intimacy with Him
God is speaking every day. My gift is obedience. Every day I commune with the LORD. When I enter into the Lord’s presence, I do so with thanksgiving. I ponder over how He embodied Himself to me the day before. No matter how great or small. And it is awesome.
Every day I wait with expectation for His personification. Incarnate. Revealing Himself to me. Dropping gems deep down into my spirit. Sitting in His presence. As He reveals secret things.
And no, I’m Not perfect. I make mistakes all the time cause trust and believe, I did not want to be obedient when the Lord told me to pack my suitcase this weekend. Because I didn’t know where he would bring me. I ended up staying in that hospital and I didn’t want to be there. I did not want to be in one of those rooms. I wanted to be home.
But when I looked through the news. The devastation. People suffering through power outages. Running out of food. Stuck on the roads and in airports. The wreckages. Up to and including those who were dying in the storms. And it crossed my mind. What did God say to many of them? What did He command them to do? Were many of them disobedient?
Disobedience Leads to Problems, Afflictions, Suffering and Death
When He commanded me to pack my suitcase, He gave me no other command at that time. This is how God deals with us. He gives us one order at a time. He will tell you to do something and you don’t know why are you doing it? You have got to step out on faith and just say OK Lord, I trust you. Remember, there are levels to this.
Many cannot receive from God because they are doing the most and they feel as if God should move the same way. Remember the story of Naaman. Elisha, the man of God told him to go wash in the Jordan River seven times. So that his leprosy may be healed. Elisha didn’t even greet him in person.
You can read the story in 2 Kings 5. Naaman almost missed his blessing because he was looking for somebody doing the most. He was insulted that Elisha didn’t even bother to speak face to face with him. While complaining about how small and dirty the Jordan river was. Comparing them to the Abana and Pharpar rivers in Damascus.
The Parable of the Drowning Man
The Holy Spirit gave me another revelation. The parable of the drowning man. He was stuck on a roof in the flood and was praying to God for help. A man in a rowboat came by first and told him to jump in but he refused. Then a motorboat and he refused again. And finally, a helicopter and he told them all the same thing, “No thanks, I’m praying to God, and He is going to save me. I have faith”. The water rose and he drowned. The story says he went to heaven and asked God why did he let him drown and God replied, “I sent the rowboat, a motorboat, and a helicopter, what more did you expect?”.
I question that he had this conversation in heaven. Particularly because of his disobedience and the mental inclination used to process the situation, that was occurring as he was drowning.
The spirit is speaking. Let me say it again. The spirit is speaking. Are you listening?
